Don, agree with everyone above but I also love the idea that the lemon which was "up front and honest" sold before the other one. People like to know how and why and where I think. Great stuff.
Sheila, you may be right. But I've found it near impossible to predict what will sell and what won't, haven't you? Reason enough, I think, to paint what one wants to paint and not with the "market" in mind. Thanks for the kind comments.

Don, This lemon is plumb gorgeous! The pin is sharp, too.
.....I can't compete with Mark's comment - the secret revealed is a fascinating piece of art:)
Oh I see. It's an Emo lemon. Angst ridden, self-harming, suicidal citrus. Geez Don, hostile much?
LOL We are all getting stir crazy LOLOLOL Love it.
ouch! to all the bad jokes and to the piercing! orange ya glad you didn't paint a suspended banana?
Sun dance lemon? Where will it end?
Mark, I sure appreciciate your encouragement--means a lot coming from such a fine painter.
Thank you, Sunrise Sister.
It's a tragic story, Silvina. This is a Wall Street lemon. All his investments went sour.
Stir Crazy, that describes it, Micah--thanks!
Isn't it interesting, Martha, how we equate the skin of that lemon with our own? I felt a little cruel when I ran that pin through.
But please--no more citrus jokes! :>}
Yes, I thought of the Sun Dance too, Susan--very strange!
I like these two paintings- especially this one with the contrasting parts of the details.
Beautiful. Clever design and great execution as always. I like the way Mark Adams covered the details.
How FUN!!!
Love these comments too... Made me smile!

Thanks, Perre.
Thanks a lot, Onpainting.
Thanks, Marian. I enjoyed following your posts about your workshop with Frank Gardner. He's terrific--looks like you had a great time.

Yes, it is a very good reason Don to paint what one wants to paint (LOL) (I deserved that).
