Metal Pitcher

Watercolor on Yupo, 6" x 8.75"

I worked on a sheet of Yupo, a synthetic paper, to do this watercolor. The sheet was primed with a thin coat of gesso, which allowed a little more control in applying washes.

We made a quick trip to Portland last weekend to spend time with our two month old grandson Grayson and his family. Here he is, putting on the charm. Is he a cutie, or what?

Quite wonderful; looks like you're changing the Yupo game, Don!

Love this reflective pitcher and in watercolor, none the less! I have a heart for painting reflective silver and this is right up my alley! Great job!

Grayson's expression makes me think you told him a joke. He's super cute!

Hi Don,
No doubt about it--he's cute as a button and what a great smile for Grandpa!
Great painting, too. Can't forget about that with all the baby cuteness.
Sincerely,
Gary.

Grayson is an absolute delight - and the painting is unbelievable. Watercolour you say? I can't get it!

Thanks, Amy and welcome to the blog. I took a look at your lovely paintings--many shiny, beautiful things!

Thanks a lot, Rahina. I did a drawing of Grayson awhile back--no doubt a painting will follow. And no, I didn't put him up for sale! We'd have to have an offer well up in the six figures before we'd even consider it. :^)

He's pretty easy to coax a smile from, Silvina...such a doll. Glad you're back blogging--you were missed!

Hi Gary--thanks. You'll always be on my good side if you say nice things about my grandson. :^) Yes, I do want to paint him.
