Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

One of Frost's best. Also, one of your best.

I thank you, Sam. I'm sure Robert would thank you as well--if only he could.

I enjoy the whole series Don. Encaustic is an interesting choice of medium for this subject, you already play with it elegantly with that unique sensibility of yours.

Excellent leaf and this series should afford you enough subjects to keep you going for a spell.
