Late afternoon sun and shadow on an old stand of windbreak willows. The trees are on their last legs, with most of the limbs dying or dead. They still make graceful shapes against the November sky. Mt. Emily rises up in the background.

Thanks, Suzanne. The farming valley where we live is ringed with mountains that are remnants of an ancient volcanic crater. Hard to believe the lovely Mt. Emily was born of such violence.
