The Daily Paintings of Don Gray
excellent donsharp and juicy!
beautiful colour combination.... and the black seed in the foreground is such a telling touch,... just a few dribbles of juice in the same direction would have lead the viewer's eye to the culprit:)
Getting the color of the watermelon fruity part just right made me wonder what colors you used to do it! It's not pinky like alizarin, not orangy like Cad red light, hmmmm...some of Don's magic! Well done!
I posted the same thing twice, if anyone cares to know why I removed the post!
Hi Rob, I appreciate hearing from you--thanks!
HA--oh I love your sense of humor, Rahina! Thanks for the note.
I had a lot of trouble with that color, Lynne. I must admit defeat, actually. What I ended up with is a melon-like color--not quite what I was seeing. I adjusted the other colors around it to make it seem right. Best I recall, colors were cad red med., cad orange, quinacridone magenta, cad yellow, and white. I would have thrown in the kitchen sink if I had it.Thanks for your kind words!
Lol, the watermelon does look tasty.
Hi Deborah--thanks for the visit.
